I am a 20 year old college student who is struggling to even live at the moment never the less go to school. In early January I lost my apartment because my rent check bounced, my bad had taken my overdraft protection off my account without letting me know and a lot of my checks and debit transactions bounced that month, I had been living off of the overdraft protection on my bank account for 3 months, I always paid it back off with my checks, but before I got my next check it was always in the negative again. I have gone to DHS and asked for help for food and housing, but they say that I make too much. I make $1000 a month and am supporting myself and my boyfriend. When I lost my apartment I had to move in with my boyfriend's family, seven people in a 3 bed room house, two of which are children under 5. I work overnights at a hotel trying to pay the bills, my boyfriends SUV is down, the transmission is shot and the engine is really close. I can not really afford to help fix his SUV but I am trying. He can not get to work with out his truck so he has not worked in a long time. I and he both have medical bills piled up from year(s) ago. I have about 7 creditors trying to get money out of me for credit card bills, medical bills, a bank account that is overdrawn, and the apartment that I lost wanting money for the time that I owed still from when I "broke the lease" even though they kicked me out. I also owe $100 a month to my school and if I don't start paying on it soon I am going to be kicked out of it. I have all the possible pell grants and everything but the school doesn't take scholarships or anything like that. I found my old beads and jewelry kits from when I was young and I am going to try to make some jewelry and sell it, I don't know if it will work, but the extra money would really help out. I don't get a stimulus check from the government because I was claimed as a dependant by my parents who refuse to pay me any of their check when they get it. They don't even send me money to help me out, so I don't see why they claimed me, other than to help their own selfish concerns. I am really in a need for help right now, if anyone can help either with a way to get help from the government, or monitarily yourself, or just even praying for me.
